I Finish What I Start, I Overcome Every Obstacle in My Path.

I finish what I start. “Bet Kaf Lamed”: It is pronounced from right to left: Lamed Kaf Bet. It is one of the names of God in the Hebrew tradition. Meditating on this name is positive for motivation.

Obstacles—both external and self-imposed—often prevent us from achieving our goals. It’s easy to feel excited and optimistic at the beginning of a new venture. Various challenges often keep us from reaching our goals. We procrastinate, and our passion fades. Internal obstacles include fear, frustration, forgetfulness, doubt, and laziness. External obstacles come in all shapes and sizes, but they are just a test. The imposing and proverbial brick wall is usually just a soft backdrop artfully painted that needs to be crossed. No one said that the path to personal improvement and spiritual greatness was easy. But it is a path that can be successfully walked and completed through a picturesque and scenic route.

Remember that you have the power to finish what you start, especially enterprises and goals of a spiritual nature. Sometimes, the hardest part of a project is finishing it. Other times, it’s starting with clarity; that is, having a clear mental map of what one wants to do and how to achieve it already puts you on the more complicated part of the journey. It’s curious that sometimes, even though one envisions the project and coincidentally we are asked to develop something just like what we were thinking of doing… we still find internal or external resistances in the development of the work. Make the intention to start with a clear purpose and advance truthfully until you finish what you started.

Meditation

Stare intently at the image of the name of God (black on white), and repeat His name; then close your eyes and visualize the name of God in negative (white on black), repeating the action as many times as you wish. It is also suggested to meditate on the image as if it were made of liquid, bright energy, in white surrounded by violet.

If you are a visual artist or enjoy calligraphy, you can meditate on this name while writing or painting the image.

Positive Affirmations

Some affirmations can be useful; it is suggested to concentrate on each phrase at least three times while directing your breath and energy to the related part of the body:

• Everything transforms and renews, everything grows. / Brain
• I love and accept myself. / Face
• I am determined and persistent. / Mouth
• I can express values. / Throat
• I accept diverse viewpoints. / Neck
• Life is my column; I trust. / Back
• I accept the now in peace and love. / Heart
• I withdraw my attention from the useless. / Liver
• I assimilate newness. / Stomach
• I am compassionate, flexible. / Knees
• I move forward with joy. / Feet
• I am in order, harmony, and freedom.

Pay attention to your breathing. Imagine a moment of great power. Energized with the determination to succeed at all costs, refusing to even consider the possibility of defeat. Concentrate your mental and physical efforts on your goal; if necessary, nullify any barrier or obstacle. Emphasize the conduction of truth strongly. Imagine yourself surrounded by sapphire blue light, embodying the virtue of faith. Now elevate the vibration to a violet tone and envision a situation where you are a messenger of hope. Now illuminate your heart, from which a pale pink liquid light arises, enveloping you with universal love, gently and lovingly facilitating the realization of your goals and projects.

To inspire yourself and foster determination, it is advisable to read quotes that talk about the qualities we wish to cultivate: Will, Victory, Mastery, Greatness, Character Strength, Power, the ability to make decisions, to know and communicate, to express our being in all its facets (human and sacred) in an act of consciousness. Allow us to let the wonder of birth, creation, Life, and the Word dwell and emerge within us. Gifts are given, but character is developed. The more character we develop, the more we can unleash our potential.

Dig deep into your being, to polish the coal of the past; and having transmuted it, elevate with it a crystal temple that transparently refracts the light of the infinite.
Cristobal Jodorowsky

Apotheosis is omnipotence, consciously becoming one with the divine will; for as it ascends to spiritual heights, it must renounce the individual for the divine will. The immediate purpose of all human life is spiritual, intellectual, and physical evolution to achieve the stature of the perfect human, and the ultimate goal is to act in the spiritual direction of the life of nations, planets, and solar systems. Every life is therefore training and preparation for the acts to sustain in the future.

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Galatians 6:9

Better a patient man than a warrior, a man who controls his temper than one who takes a city.
Proverbs 16:32

You can be someone who is pitiful or you can be a powerful person, but you cannot be both.
Joyce Meyer

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love, and of self-discipline.
2 Timothy 1: 5-7

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
Galatians 5: 22-23

Strive, seek, find, and never yield.
Tennyson’s Ulysses

And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.
John 8:32
