-We don’t know what dinosaurs really looked like. The main issue is that we only have their bones. And a lot of present-day animals have distinguishing features that are unrelated to their skeleton. Think of the round body of a songbird hiding its skeleton. Think of a cow’s udder, a Peacock’s colors, the trunk of an elephant, the red comb on a rooster… Do you see why it’s hard to imagine what a dinosaur actually looked like?
