Art is vital, not just useful. It inspires, educates, and connects. Rediscover its value in life and memory. ✨🎨 #Art #Creativity #Education #Inspiration #Culture https://wp.me/p3JLEZ-9tA

Imagine if you were never questioned about the usefulness or practicality of your art in this materialistic world. I suppose that when you said, “-I’m an artist,” some may have looked at you strangely and then asked: “-Okay, yes, but what do you do for work?”
I understand, because I have received similar questions, that these inquiries can make you doubt or question your artistic vocation and values. We must learn to deal with criticism so that we can leave its darts behind and move forward with our creative vocation.
I invite you to imagine, to rediscover the practical and impractical reasons for art. Because not everything useful is valuable, nor is everything useless insignificant. Focus on your inner self, on the light that shines within you through art and has led you down this path. Rediscover the joy, inspiration, and wonder you find in the spoken word, in stories, in sharing tales. Human beings are built of memories, dreams, and the magic of language allows us to capture the revelations of each moment, even in silence.
Of course, your question has also been a topic of debate not only in everyday gossip and family discussions but also in academia. Therefore, it’s good to have on hand the messages from authors who defend the value of art. For example, Eisner argues that the arts develop mental skills, refine ways of thinking, and help us face life’s uncertainties.
Additionally, art, when part of an industry, is a driving force behind large companies and profits. For this, it’s important to focus not only on research and artistic creation but also on what we call cultural management: the promotion, dissemination, and consumption of creative works.
In a sadly violent society like the one we live in, the arts are also an educational tool, a great ally in peace education.
On a personal note, for me, art has been a symbolic home, a bridge to the world, a territory of creative freedom, experimentation, and development of consciousness.
Although much of what we are discussing here, the values and processes that art triggers are intangible, both I and a large part of the creative community and its followers are sure that we find them absolutely relevant.
Blessings of love, grace, and transcendence.
