…to adhere to the instinctive condemnation of the heretic that is supported by the community. The passionate longing of this one to convince his fellow men, which to the eyes of the majority is his unforgivable crime, may seem to us his redemptive merit and we may even find it commendable because the supposed missionary, however poorly received initially or permanently, is behaving in a way that is beneficial to society. He does not try to keep his knowledge, ideas, or energy as a private reserve for himself or a small circle of sympathizers, but rather attempts to convert those values into common property.
(…) His missionary zeal has brought them persecution in the beginnings, but often has won them reverence afterward. The descendants of the assassins of the prophet are the ones who build the sepulcher of this one.
Arnold J. Toynbee

Helloooo! I’m sharing an image from my childhood; let’s see if you can guess where Iris is! 😉

Dear ones: I am back in Mexico City after spending the year-end festivities in Chiapas. As you know, I lived my childhood in Soconusco, a place of tropics, coffee, mangoes, cacao, plantains, caspiroles, papausas… The nearest beach is Puerto Chiapas, also known as Puerto Madero. Whenever I travel to the Pearl (as the city of Tapachula is called), I go to the beach to feel like a dolphin for a while, dancing beneath the foam and over the crests of the waves. Driving the road to the port tempts me to stick my arm out the window and direct the game of moving my hand to plan with the wind’s resistance. The smell of salt, the humidity of the coast, the brightness of the sky and sun are some of the best memories of that land.
Hey! I’ll keep you updated further on. In the meantime, as always, sending you Kisses and Blessings!

Welcome to Mexico, little whales! 🙂

For whales, Mexican waters are a refuge this season. Every year, from December to March, thousands of these majestic species arrive at the Pacific coasts, such as the gray whale, blue whale, and humpback whale. Whales migrate up to 18,000 km, starting in the Chukchi and Bering seas to reproduce in the lagoons of the western coast of the Baja California peninsula, being their typical habitat during this season.

The December celebrations are so idealized by the media, just like the idea of the traditional family (dad, mom, and children), meaning that these dates are expected to be family and happy. Nowadays, families are very diverse: two dads, two moms, families that include children from various marriages or relationships, single parents, adopted children, abandoned ones, those assisted in government or private centers, families with migrants who find it difficult to reunite due to geographic distances, families divided by walls of resentment, relatives lost in memory, and so on… The list is very large and diverse. The stories of returning home, or the prodigal son returning to the father, all add to the celebrations of family. Certainly, reverence to God in these celebrations has been present since ancient times. Thanks to a spiritual perspective that includes geographical and temporal diversity, I dare say that devotion to spiritual figures like the pope/hierophant or the sun invites us to find those archetypes within our own heart, soul, and spirit.
Personally, I have oscillated between sharing these dates with family, traveling with my partner, or remaining alone with my books and thoughts – which I consider a great bibliographic family that has shaped my character. That is to say, of course, that real people and our genetics are an essential part of our identity formation, however, just as it is said that childhood is not destiny, we can also build our destiny transcending the possibilities and limitations of family through the development of consciousness.
In these dates – over several years – I have published works that could be considered dark or luminous, from poetry beside a lit tree, naked with the words happy holidays in various languages, still lifes with phrases on behalf of freedom of expression, as that which cannot die, the celebration of Sol Invictus.
I thank all who have participated in these creative processes for recommending readings, collaborating on photoshoots, conversing around thematic centers, constructing costumes and sets… It is through these creative conversations that I document my evolution and build a memorable relationship with my readers as you, thanks for accompanying me, blessings always.

I want to think of problems and people who act as obstacles blocking our path as opportunities, obstacles that are there not to deter us, but to help us grow. My teachers have constantly insisted that greatness can only be demonstrated in times of crisis, and that’s why we should be grateful for each conflict, because it pushes us to maximize our resources, build character, and develop strength.
To date, various institutions offer professional studies in art in Mexico, both in artistic creation – interpretation (visual, performing, musical, literary arts) and art history, or even cultural management. However, it is worth mentioning the lack of consistent professional examples to train art critics and educators in the arts.

The piano caresses the last hours of this year, and my dreams kiss your skin…

Hello! Greetings, a pleasure to greet you in these wonderful dates, how good to know we share a taste for poetry and the art of comic and sexy illustration. ;») I hope you receive lots of love and sweet dreams in the coming year. Let’s wear red chonies / panties / underwear / boxers / briefs / thongs! Haha! Kisses and blessings.

If the medium is the message, the alphabet is the medium to analyze, encode, decode, classify. The alphabet enhances our ability to catalog and systematize; it is the root of the constitution of our written, self-reflective civilization.

Hello! Thank you, thank you to you and the alphabet. Dear ones, I hope that letters work in your favor and always help you create and constitute worlds of light. Fraternal hug.

Oma, my great-grandmother, is German, and Opa, my great-grandfather, is Swiss. Upon marrying and moving to Zurich, she acquired that nationality. They live through the tensions of the First World War in Europe. Switzerland remains neutral; however, Germany plays a leading role.

“Lenin was determined to return to Russia. But that was not an easy task in the middle of the First World War. Switzerland was surrounded by warring countries: France, Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Italy, and the seas were dominated by Britain, Russia’s ally. Lenin considered crossing Germany with a Swedish passport, but Krupskaya joked that he would give himself away by swearing at Mensheviks in Russian in his sleep.” N.K. Krupskaya. Reminiscences of Lenin. 1933

Lenin, the father of the Russian revolution, lived in political exile in Switzerland between 1914 and 1917. He tried to convince Swiss comrades of his ideas for an international revolution, but he encountered deaf ears. It was common currency to get passports of one nationality or another to travel. Krupskaya laughs at imagining that even with a Swedish passport, crossing Germany would reveal Lenin as he dreams in Russian. =)

This anecdote reminds me that during my stay in Slovakia, I shared a room with a painter friend from the UK who lives in Greece, and she told me that even though I spoke at night, she didn’t understand because it was in Spanish. However, the next night, she said, “Now I understood you because this time you dreamed in English.” Haha!

Dear ones, greetings! Here I am listening to Diana Krall and trying to piece together a lineage in dialogue that survives, mutates, and renews… ;”) xoxo

We have had enough of the intelligent movements that have stretched our credulity in the advantages of science. What we want now is spontaneity. Not because it is better or more beautiful than everything else. But because everything that we freely edit from ourselves, without the intervention of speculative ideas, represents us. We must intensify this quantity of life so that it easily happens in every room. Tzara

– Intention; it is not something we do, but something we connect with.

– In the Universe, there exists an immeasurable and indescribable force, which those who live from the source call intention. …and that absolutely everything that exists in the universe is connected to the attempt through a link.
Carlos Castaneda

– There is no matter as such. All matter originates and exists by virtue of the force that causes a particle of an atom to vibrate, and maintains that tiny solar system of the atom. We must assume that behind this force, there is a conscious and intelligent mind. This mind is the matrix of all matter.
Max Planck, Nobel Prize in Physics.

– I want to feel good, I want to feel God, I want to connect with the source.
– In order to connect with the source and with what you want to create, you must learn: ‘stop being offended’, eliminate ideas of ‘I can’t’, ‘it’s never worked before’, ‘stop needing to feel superior’, ‘or needing to be right, win or have more’, etc.
– When you change the way you see things, the things you see change.
Quotes from Dr. Wayne W. Dyer’s conference on the Power of Intention.

Alles gute! Happy New Year! Very Happy New Year! ;”) The fireworks are going off wonderfully. Congratulations and Good night to everyone; may tonight and always bring you joy in heaps. Awwww, a cheesy attack dedicated to many little people I adore: Thank you to all my followers and friends because you are unique and wonderful, and it is absolutely fantastic to know that I have your trust and affection, and it is way more wonderful to remember the good moments shared and imagine the ones coming. Thanks also to family, haha! you’re sweet, though -as you know- we’re closer to some favorites, but the little heart is big, and we love you all. xoxox

Lessons from December: 1. Bones become soft and flexible in vinegar – just like when a body is hidden in a barrel of wine, and it turns into vinegar due to the strange element. 2. It is possible to clean wine-stained bones with teeth-whitening ingredients. 3. The density of a human skull is similar to that of a watermelon. 4. Some original wine bottles are of a greater density than imitation ones, which may be thinner. 5. My grandfather and I; aside from sharing a taste for boxing, we also coincide in a liking for forensic investigation programs.

Blessings traveling from 2009 to you… Congratulations!

Iram López Cruz: Thank you, Iris… for supposedly being dead and revived, you are doing very well… and yes, the nine videos of this series are… strange, fun… things I like… especially video 4 and 6… yes, that about childhood and the happy kiss… etc… Congratulations… and may all your nightmares come true!! Merry Christmas and all those silly things… as always from my darkness… Kisses and hugs!!
Iris Atma: Hello Iram dear. Thank you for the friendship, creator and destroyer of worlds colleague. It’s true that some nightmares have become real, that’s why at times I am more pragmatic when choosing performance themes, as they say ‘you have to be careful what you wish for because it can come true’. So, thank you for the complicities with the revivified and all those childhood things and good wishes. Much light always for your cozy darkness, blessings to you and your sweet angel. xoxoxoxox 🙂
Iris Atma: Hello! Dear ones. How good that video proposals know how to travel through time and bring us closer. Sweet kiss.

Building books like building buildings

Irma Boom (Lochem, Netherlands, 1960) knew what she would dedicate her life to the day a professor entered the class with a suitcase full of books. She studied painting, but she clearly saw she would make books. The professor returned every Wednesday. And she worked at the state printer to learn bookbinding. “She was naïve; she had many crazy ideas but lacked knowledge.” After five years, a volume on stamps brought her fame. And she set up her own studio. Today she claims to “build books,” as if they were buildings.
